CMS Refreshes Medicaid and CHIP Scorecard


The Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Scorecard was released a year ago by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The data captures in state reporting while the scorecard aims to increase transparency of health care quality and outcomes. Today, CMS conducted a data refresh. According to CMS Administrator Seema Verma, “Everyone – whether you are a beneficiary, taxpayer, or lawmaker – deserves to understand the performance of our nation’s largest health coverage programs and often the largest state expenses.”
