The Biden administration will provide health plans with guidance on how to comply with recent requirements that they publicly disclose prescription drug prices, a Department of Labor official said Monday.
The agency in August delayed enforcement of reporting requirements under the No Surprises Act, the federal surprise billing law, until July 1, 2022. Health plans were originally supposed to have reported drug pricing information in December 2020. The No Surprises Act is part of budget legislation (H.R. 133) that passed that same month.
